I started making jewelry in 2005. I wanted a unique, affordable bracelet to show my pride for my favorite team - The Green Bay Packers. I didn't branch out from the Packers bracelets until June of 2008, after my dear friend Cheri was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I wanted to find something to show our support for her during her courageous battle, as well as bring awareness to the disease. I began making bracelets, earrings, key chains, bookmarks and pins for cervical cancer awareness, adding special purple beads -- Cheri's favorite color.
I made a number of these items for Cheri's friends and family. I was having so much fun, I started making other items for myself. I joked with Cheri that she'd created a monster --- this "beading thing" was starting to become a very expensive hobby. So, I decided to start making other jewelry I could sell to help "support my habit". And, here we are!
